

Overview:
Josh Journey: Totems of Darkness is a game in the style of Beat´em Up, with handmade arts that tells the story of courageous heroes who use their skills to defeat the nightmare monsters, attacked combined in a local cooperative gameplay.
My level creation process was to understand the premise of the game. Enabling the creation of narrative elements that maintain the connection of the levels created by with, previous and subsequent levels, within the game.
I started with a search for references in the real world, mainly in forests and colonial cities in Brazil and Europe. After my search for references, I made the sketches of the map layout already planned on top of each premise built around the level.
After feedbacks and the whole iterative process, linking the blocking in Maya with Unity. I've reached the end of level creation.
