Overview:

Level inspired by the traditional Bullet Hell / Run and Gun games. This build version has limited gameplay mechanics, so I did it to create a linear level that mixed closed areas with large areas. This was a second level in the game, so the player was familiar with the basic mechanics of the game and the goal of this level is to allow the player more freedom to explore the core of the gameplay. With frantic shooting combat.

My process of creating the level was a study done in areas of Eastern Europe, such as Chernobyl and former abandoned military bases. Because I created a world based on an invasion of aliens that were dominating strategic areas like military bases, water and food stations etc.

After the first sketches I blocked in maya and made the integration with unreal. I had to do a lot of iterations until I got to the final level block layout.

What ended up making it difficult for me in this process were problems related to gameplay mechanics, I had a very limited series of character movements to be able to apply to my level creation. But in the end I managed to create a level that made all the integration of narrower areas and wider areas that favor a more frantic style of play.
